So! A bevvy of plus size bloggers headed to London town for Plus London 2, and what a dedicated bunch we are, because about an hour before the start of the event, the sky opened and down came the snow!!
The event opened with a fashion show, showing pieces from One Stop Plus.....now I'm not going to lie, the pieces chosen for us models (yes, that's right folks, I modelled) we're not the best, there was a couple of gems but on the whole, I found the clothes to be frumpy and what I would deem "typical fat girl clothes" - and by that I mean what we have typically in the past been restricted to wearing.
I do believe luckily, I got the best of a not so great bunch, and I thoroughly enjoyed the catwalk experience itself, but I think the whole experience could have been better organised and handled better, OSP? Must try harder!! Some of the other girls had a much worse experience than I, and Claire who organised the event has written to OSP to inform them of this, you can read it here
I know some of the girls feel so strongly about it, that they don't want to use photos from the catwalk as that would give OSP undeserved publicity, but I want to share just one with you, taken by and kindly borrowed from the lovely Tracey at "A Blog is for Life" I felt it was important, I agreed to model swimwear because a. I thought it was important for me to over come some personal hang ups and issues by wearing swimwear in such a public domain and b. I wanted to show other plus size women that you have every right in the world to wear swimwear, wear it bright and wear it bold.....so here goes.....
So swiftly moving on!! The night was indeed a resounding success, my personal highlight was poring over the vintage delights of Red Bows Boutique having been a vintage lover for as long as I remember, even as I kid I remember wearing some amazing vintage leather boots to school and getting laughed at, it was a complete joy to be able to peruse vintage clothes in my size!!

It was also great to meet so many of my fellow bloggers and catch up with new friends I made at the Gok launch a few weeks previous.
I enjoyed having a look through some gorgeous pieces from the new season collections of ASOS Curve, Simply Be and Navabi. The Elomi ladies were there to sort out our boobies as well! They we're so incredibly popular I didn't get a chance to get measured, but they very kindly gave me some shapewear to try out instead, which I will report back on shortly!!!
Oh yeah, I almost forgot!! Whilst I was in the queue for Elomi, the raffle was drawn and I was lucky enough to win a huge bag of clothes from one of the other sponsors, New Look Inspire SCORE!!!
Now, I have a confession to make....bad, bad blogger that I am, I was having wayyyy too much fun to take photographs, so instead of "borrowing" lots of peoples and popping them here, I suggest you go and visit all these wonderful blogs and see what they had to say and visit the Plus London Tumblr page for more of Claires husbands great photo's.
