Its Five Take time and this week were doing colour blocking.... I struggled again this week, mainly because I have nothing plain for my bottom half other than jeans, plain black, khaki, beige trousers, but nothing bright, so I'm afraid my outfit this week is a bit of a cop out. The top has some blocks of colour but I stuck jeans with it...which is such a shame because the trend is so vibrant and modern, I fear I have let you down!!
Colour block top - G21, George @ ASDA
Jeans - Pixie Wide Leg, Simply Be
Shoes - F+F via eBay
The top was a bit of a bargain at £2.50...ok a LOT of a bargain, its a sz20 but has bags of room, would fit a 22/24 easily. Its really the only colour block garment I have, I never really got into the trend, my wardrobe tends to consist more of stripes, bird print, florals etc. The only other thing I have, which I do love is the colour block top I got from Next over Christmas, as worn here...
As always, head over to the other gals and see how they"did" colour blocking...
Nicole - A Well Rounded Venture
Rebecca - The Plus Side of Me
Gina - Fat, Fit, Fine
Claire - A Monkey Fatshionista
Have you embraced the colour blocking trend? Or has it eluded you too?!
I love your outfit :). I pretty much alwaus live in black, so kudos to you! I've only recently started to wear more and more colour. I can't believe you got such a bargain! Totally jealous ;)

ReplyDeleteThanks Ceri for the stunner comment.. as for size, I'm just happy being me, doesn't matter what size! xxxx
DeleteI think you've got colour blocking down. Asda seems to be the place to shop!
ReplyDeleteThey are on top of their game at the moment, as with everywhere there's some tat and some pieces not to my taste, but for fast, disposable fashion they're doing a great job!
DeleteBlimey £2.50 that is nearly free :) Looks great on you to, great buy. I haven't tried colour blocking, i never see anything in that style that I think would work for me. x
ReplyDeleteI think I'm much the same. You, like me dress with more than a nod towards vintage styling and colour blocking is very trend led, but I think a top like this, tucked into highwaisted jeans or a pencil skirt might work! X x
DeleteIt's subtle - I like this a lot xx
ReplyDeleteThanks K xxx
